What makes us different?
No obligation insurance verification and low interest financing. Let our insurance expert review your policy. She will find out what level of coverage you have, your deductible, a close estimate of out-of-pocket costs and what your insurance company requires. If you do not have insurance coverage, low-interest financing options may be available.
We perform more surgeries than any other weight loss surgery program in Houston. Our affiliated weight loss surgeons perform over 700 bariatric procedures annually.
Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center has been recognized as a fully accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). ACS designates as MBSAQIP Centers only those programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes for weight loss surgery. The rate of complications for MBSAQIP Centers is extremely low.
Perform all weight loss surgery options including the most difficult revisions and reversals. Affiliated surgeons and nurses provide a full range of surgery options, including gastric banding (lap band), gastric sleeve, gastric bypass and duodenal switch. We also offer surgery to revise or reverse previous bariatric procedures.
Comprehensive patient support. Our support team includes dietitians, psychological counselors and experienced bariatric nurses who work closely with each patient to address eating behavior, metabolism, self-esteem, body image and relationship changes. Peer support groups, educational speakers and insurance experts are also available to help patients throughout the program.
Memorial Hermann Bariatric Programs (Southeast, Memorial City or Texas Medical Center) are certified by MBSAQIP. However, patients should request a physician's personal certification, if any, and their experience and qualifications before proceeding with any bariatrics procedure.
